At head of frontispiece verso is a gift inscription (illegible), and below it is the property stamp of Baron Pandolfo Ricasoli, with the shelf mark "95." Below the dedication on the t.-p. is the stamp in blue ink of: Bib. Gvst. C. Balletti Flor. Beside it is a second stamp, partly legible: ...S. Pavli Flor

Frontispiece: Arms of Charles V within border of trophies. T.-p. within border representing signs of the zodiac. On t.-p. verso is full-page cut of a monk writing against a background with ships and the heavens. It is presumably Mauro, as the symbolic border includes references to his musical interests. Numerous woodcut illustrations, full-page or smaller. View of globe on i1r repeated on l4v. Coat of arms on last p. repeats that at lower left of frontispiece border
